Waffen-SS Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler tunic for sale. The four-pocket, Waffen-SS Hauptsturmführer tunic with closed dark green collar, pleated top pockets, and pleated lower pockets. The SS tunic with standard French cuffs, and grey-greensilk lining. The sleeves lined with typical tailor-stripes.

The SS tunic collar patch insignia with silver-aluminium wire Runes, on black wool material, and with silver wire edge piping. The rank patch in matching material, and with three silver metal pips, along with two brocade rank stripes. The tunic with matching epaulettes for the rank of Hauptsturmführer, in silver braid with blue silk piping, and typical black wool bases. The epaulettes with two golden rank pips, and 'LAH' golden cyphers to each.

To the left sleeve, abullion wire SS officer eagle & swastika. To the left-hand cuff, a fine Adolf Hitler officers cuff title. The SS tunic with loops for one award. The tunic also has loops for a ribbon bar, and a ribbon bar in place. 

Condition report: The Waffen-SS tunic in overall very good condition. Showing some general wear overall. Some moth nips to the cuffs. Light oxidation present to the insignia. Collar patches machine-sewn to the collar.  

Provenance: Alan Beadle Military Antiques 1980s. Acquired for the Richard Dudley collection, and remaining in that collection to date.
